My dad was a photographer in the Air Force during WWII - stationed on Iwo Jima, filming the bombing areas after an attack. He brought his cameras and film home in this wooden dynamite box, and eventually, he gave the box to me and asked me to do something with it. I took a slab of Michigan White Ash for the back, and used a Strat-style 25.5” scale maple neck. The strings go all the way through the body for incredible sustain, and the twin PAF-style pickups are wired Volume/Volume/Tone. With a good tube amp and this guitar, you are set up for Nirvana…or Dave Matthews…you get the picture.
