So, a great friend I really trust gave me some wood to play with - he told me these beams came out of the old State Hospital in Traverse City. With no reason to lie, I believed him. No idea what the wood is, but the neck is a maple 25.5” scale with a rosewood fingerboard. Single bridge hum bucker really growls, with the Tele-style bridge complete with body-through construction for better sustain. That’s a real 1935 Michigan license plate pretending it’s a pick guard. This thing plays a lot better than it looks, and - it’s the only one in the world.
