Psycho

I had this highly figured piece of sustainably-harvested Michigan White Ash, and it was really straight and clean, but not thick enough for a typical electric guitar body. So, I used a 2-piece sandwich style construction, with weight relief inside, and it really worked out well. This is truly a case of the wood speaking to me - just couldn’t resist it! I used my Gibson Melody Maker for the shape, and kept it quite “Gibsony” throughout. 24.75” scale maple neck with a custom headstock, twin Filter-Tron-style pickups in gold finish, and a gold Tune-O-Matic bridge system. Almost a whacky amount of control - twin volume and tone knobs, and a blend knob - gotta admit, takes a little getting used to at first. Crunch and chime for days here.
